This position is to ensure medical records remain in compliance with federal and state guidelines.
Some of the job responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Organize, plan, and direct the medical records program in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Maintain various registries/indexes as required by governmental agencies as well as administrative policies.
Perform medical diagnosis coding of resident diagnoses and/or disease conditions as warranted.
Collect records, assemble in proper order, and analyze them for appropriate completion.
Monitor incomplete records for timely and appropriate completion prior to discharge filing.
File records and other information as directed.
Obtain overflow records from nursing station and file in the residents in house files.
Ensure excellent communication among staff, residents, and families.
Create positive resident outcomes.
Respect others by treating them the way we want to be treated.
Demonstrate kindness, compassion, honesty, and integrity at all times.
Help create a culture of superior customer service.
