Job Description:

As a Nap Time Assistant, you'll be instrumental in maintaining a secure and tranquil environment for children during their nap periods.
Your primary role will involve overseeing and ensuring the well-being of children while they rest, fostering a cozy and nurturing ambiance.
Responsibilities:
Cultivate a serene and soothing atmosphere conducive to children's nap time.
Collaborate in arranging nap time areas, providing comfortable mats, and cozy blankets.
Supervise children during their nap time, prioritizing their safety and comfort.
Assist children in settling down for their nap by reading stories or engaging in quiet activities.
Offer gentle reassurance and comfort to children who may find it challenging to fall asleep.
Continuously monitor children throughout their nap time, maintaining a peaceful and relaxed setting.
Promptly address any concerns or issues that may arise during nap time.
Uphold cleanliness and hygiene in nap time areas, including sanitizing toys, shelves, mats, and bedding.
Work collaboratively with other childcare staff to ensure consistent routines and practices.
Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's nap time routine and any relevant information.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a childcare environment is preferred.
Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate care practices.
Exceptional observation skills and the ability to respond calmly to children's needs.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, particularly when interacting with young children.
Demonstrated patience, compassion, and the ability to foster a nurturing environment.
Basic first aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain certification).
Capacity to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
Physical stamina to lift and carry children and perform light cleaning tasks.
Schedule and Compensation:
This position offers part-time hours, with shifts available Monday through Friday from either 10 AM - 2 PM or 11 AM - 3 PM.
Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with your experience.
